Dr. Jessica Pérez-Moreno is a Senior Lecturer in early childhood music education at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, and an Honorary Research Associate at the Institute of Education, University College London. She received her PhD in Music Didactics from UAB in 2011. She holds a B.Mus. in guitar from the Higher Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona, a Bachelors in Music Education from UAB (with First Class Honours), and a Masters in Musicology from the same university.

Her research interests include children's daily musical activities, songs and music for nursery/home transition, the use of media and technology by children, early musical communication and musical play (specially lap games). She is a member of the editorial board for the Revista Internacional de Educación Musical and the Revista Complutense de Educación Musical. She regularly presents her research in national and international conferences and publishes articles in academic and professional journals. Jessica has also edited a handbook (together with Dr. Gluschankof), written school textbooks and book chapters.
