Taking advantage of the world conference being online, ISME is adding a number of activities that could only be held in a virtual setting. Voice from my Country is your invitation to have your voice heard or to make visible some aspect of music education in your country/location. You are invited to make a video of up to five minutes. The theme of the video is 'voice from my country' and, after that, the floor is yours. You might want to showcase your school's choir or ensemble; share a day in your life; focus on the instruments or music of the region where you live or work, either as a showcase performance or as an information video (or a mixture of both); you might want to talk about your great achievements or challenges; you might want to ask questions for others to assist you with. It can be humorous or serious. The choice is yours.
The outcome is that everyone has an opportunity to participate and engage in the conference theme of 'a visible voice'. Delegates can see and hear about your life, your day, your challenges and achievements in your part of the world.
The videos will run between sessions. There is a five minute gap between the live sessions and the intention is that these videos will be included in the programming for those short gaps.
There is no requirement for a professionally created video. The content is more important than slick production. Feel free to make your video on a smart phone.
If this sounds like you, then send us your expression of interest. There's a quick online form to complete. Don't record anything until we confirm your EOI has been accepted in a few weeks.
Deadline for EOI is 8 April with the video required by the end of May.
