About

The Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation Special Interest Group was started in 2016 initiated by Timothy Brophy (USA). It works closely with the International Symposium on Assessment in Music Education, which is held every other year at the University of Florida, USA.

Mission

The mission of the Assessment, Measurement, and Evaluation SIG is to improve music teaching and learning through the dissemination of new knowledge and practices of assessment, measurement and evaluation in music education.

Aim

The aim of the Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation SIG is to connect researchers, policy makers and practitioners in the development and implementation of the tools and approaches in this field.

Activity

The mission of the Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation SIG is achieved through curating a sequence of world conference presentations designed to improve music teaching and learning through sharing new knowledge and practices for assessment, measurement and evaluation.
